The Triangles Practice

This is a three-minute tool that opens the heart and makes elevated states like compassion, gratitude, and joy a lived experience. It takes any emotional tug-of-war and finds the higher ground—the heart state that holds and transcends both sides.

Every polarity has a resolution. Not a compromise—a lift. Somewhere above “approval” and “disapproval,” above “known” and “unknown,” above any polarity—there’s a heart state waiting to be found. The Triangles practice doesn’t ask you to pick a side. It asks you to hold the tension and rise above the tug-of-war entirely. To discover what holds both in a higher vibration.

What it is:
A practice that takes any polarity—two opposing feelings or states—and finds the higher heart state that balances and transcends them.

What it gives:
Access to steady joy, emotional perspective, and a reliable way to recenter when life pulls you in opposite directions.

What it takes:
A willingness to look for the third option. The heartstate isn’t always obvious at first. Patience helps.

The video walks you through two full Triangles—one simple, one deeper—so you can see exactly how it works. By the end, you’l have the framework in your hands: pick a polarity, find the heart state, release, and invite it in. A mini yoga retreat in minutes.

Most of us oscillate between extremes—too much, too little; holding on, letting go; pushing, collapsing. We think the answer is to pick the right side. Triangles reveals a different truth: the answer is above the struggle, not inside it. Do this regularly, and you stop living in the swing between opposites. You start living from the heart state—where peace and joy aren’t dependent on circumstances, but are always accessible, always steady, always yours.

Common questions about Triangles

See all FAQs

How is Triangles different from Polarities?

Polarities reveals the hidden opposites driving your reactions—it shows you both sides so you stop being ruled by either. Triangles takes the next step: it finds the heart state that lifts you above the polarity entirely. Polarities untangles the knot. Triangles shows you what's on the other side of it.

What if I can’t find a heart state?

Start with the list of heart states provided in the video—it's there for exactly this reason. If nothing clicks, try stepping outside yourself: imagine a wise friend looking at your polarity. What would they see that you're missing? Sometimes the heart state is obvious to everyone but you. Borrow their eyes until you find your own. And if you're still stuck, leave it and come back. The answer often arrives when you stop chasing it.

How often should I do the Triangles practice?

Whenever you feel pulled in two directions—which, for most of us, is daily. Triangles is designed to be quick. Three minutes is all it takes. Use it in the moment when a polarity flares up, or make it a morning ritual to set the emotional tone for the day. Like all MindYoga practices, consistency beats duration.

Can I use the same heart state over and over?

Yes—and you might notice certain heart states become old friends. Equanimity. Surrender. Trust. If a particular state keeps showing up, pay attention. It might be exactly what you're working on integrating. But don't force it. Let each Triangle find its own resolution. Sometimes the heart state you need today is not the one you needed yesterday.

Does this actually change how I feel, or am I just thinking my way out of a bad mood?

It changes how you feel because it changes where you're standing. You're not suppressing the polarity or replacing it with positive thinking. You're shifting your vantage point—from inside the tug-of-war to above it. From that higher perspective, the emotional weather changes. Not because you forced it, but because you stopped standing in the storm. That's the difference between coping and transforming.

Can I use more than one heart state for the same Triangle?

Absolutely. No rules here. It's completely normal for more than one heart state to fit at the apex of the same Triangle. If Compassion and Forgiveness both land, use both. If Peace, Clarity and Acceptance all feel right, stack them up. The practice meets you where you are—it doesn't hand out quotas.
